Overhead Line Calculation Solutions

IMEDEXA High Voltage Overhead Line Calculation Program

Versión 16
RD 223/2008

Developed and implemented by engineers from Imedexa’s IT and Technical Departments to facilitate the calculation of high-voltage overhead lines up to 220 kV.

The software allows importing layout and profile data via AutoCAD, ZWCad, NanoCad, and BricsCad, or entering topographic data manually. It also identifies angles and crossing points (roads, existing lines, rivers, buildings, agricultural or industrial areas, etc.).

It allows setting minimum ground clearance, maximum line temperature, and performs calculations at wind speeds of 120, 130, 140, 160, and 180 km/h. Support placement can be semi-automated or manually adjusted by observing catenary curves graphically.

Once supports are placed, the line can be optimized by relocating them and adjusting heights via mouse drag.

Includes a default database of phase conductors, shield wires, insulators, fittings, protection elements, and pricing, which can be expanded or customized by the user.

Once the line is calculated, the following results are obtained
